Asus Eee 1000H Touchpad Problem

I almost got an Asus Eee 1000H today, but after trying the touchpad of the UMPC on display, I noticed that the pointer was moving rather erratically. The salesperson in the store, however, was able to move the pointer quite well.

Perhaps it was due to my rather dry skin?

Then again, why was I able to easily move the pointer using the trackpad or touchpad of the Asus Eee 701 or even the 900? Why was the shaking and trembling pointer limited only to the 1000H?

Perhaps next time, I'll try a different unit. Afterall, that was the demo unit and it might have already been subject to a lot of abuse, given the popularity of the Asus Eee 1000H these days.

(No wonder the price of the Asus Eee 900 dropped to P19,900 from last week's P22,800 -- the 1000H has been selling well, and computer store owners are trying to unload the 900s.
